COMPLETE PRE-APPOINTMENT CHECK LIST

  • Initial Annuity 8hr Course
  • Initial Long-Term Care Course

Visit www.webce.com/wfgusa to complete your course. Instructions:

  1. Click on Course Catalog
  2. Click Continuing Education
  3. Click WFG Initial Product Training
  4. Select the State you live in
  5. Select L&H Initial Product Training CE Package Initial 8-Hr LTC, Initial 8-Hr Annuity
  6. Select Anti-Money Laundering for the Insurance Industry
  7. Click Add to Cart
  8. Enter Payment Information
  9. Click Complete

SETUP E&O COVERAGE

You'll need to have your own separate policy to use with WFG. We use Marsh as our Vendor.


Go to https://www.secureaffinity.marsh.com/smb/wfg-tfa/en-us/access

  1. Enter your Agent ID & Email and follow the prompts.

SETUP DIRECT DEPOSIT

Log into www.mywfg.com

  1. MENU
  2. ADMINISTRATION
  3. BOSS ELECTRONIC FORMS
  4. DIRECT DEPOSIT AUTHORIZATION AGREEMENT FORM - US
  5. CONTINUE "Please enter the answer to the security question you have set"​


You will be asked to supply the following Information

  • Depository ( Financial Institution / Bank)
  • Account Information
  • Type of Bank Account
  • Account Owners

It is important that direct deposit is set up; otherwise there will be a $5 processing fee to every check.

NO LICENSE? NO PROBLEM

SIGN UP FOR EXAM PREP

If you haven't been enrolled into your course, you can follow these instructions to enroll.

  1. Go to Xcel Solutions
  2. Select Resident State
  3. Choose Life and Health Insurance
  4. Click the cart icon, then Go to Cart
  5. Add Elite1, click apply & click Proceed to Checkout
  6. Click Sign Up
  7. Complete Student Account & Contact Information sections
  8. Click Proceed to Checkout
  9. Complete Payment Information & Submit Your Order 

REGISTER FOR EXAM

Each state operates and have different requirements for testing, be sure to visit your state Insurance Department website for more details.

APPLY FOR LICENSE

Allow 24 hours for your information to be updated in the system before you're able to apply for your license.

  1. Visit NIPR (National Insurance Producer Registry)
  2. Click on Individual
  3. Select Social Security Number
  4. Fill out Personal Information
  5. Click Start
  6. Click Producer Licensing
  7. Click Initial, then Resident
  8. Select your Resident State, then Next
  9. Select Life Only (Select Accident & Health if you took your life and health exam too)
  10. Click Next, Fill Out All Required Information
  11. Answer Employment & Background Information
  12. Click Next, then Pay Fee



Once your application gets processed allow up to 2-3 weeks for an approval.

POST LICENSE REQUIREMENTS

​Complete the AML(required), Annuity & Long-Term Care Course (not required). The AML course is designed to coach and train you to identify money laundering activities.


  1. Create an account at WFG Success CE 
  2. Click Purchase CE Package, then select your resident state
  3. Select - Life, Annuity, AML, Long Term Care and Health Insurance CE
  4. Click Checkout then, Continue to Finish Order
  5. Click Review and Start Taking Courses
  6. Click Begin Online Exam
  7. Upon completion, sign and check box for YES on each certificate

AML Certificate needs to be uploaded on mywfg.com website

Go to Menu > Administration BOSS Electronic Forms

Select AML Certification

Click Other for Vendor Used for the AML Course

Enter the Date you completed your AML Course

Click Continue 

Follow the DocuSign prompts and attach your certificate 

 

LTC and Annuity certificates are submitted directly to product providers

ETHOR

Let ETHOR be your guide when you're trying to find the right words. What's ETHOR? It stands for Excited, Training, Help, Opinion, Referrals. So when reaching out or having a conversation with others your conversation can go something like this:


I'm EXCITED about this new endeavor/opportunity and so far what I've learned has had tremendous value and impact. I'm in my TRAINING phase and in the process of my certification and I could use your HELP with getting the butterflies out. I value your OPINION and I want to get your feedback about what I'm doing so you can send me some REFERRALS in the future! Could you help me out?

3-WAY TEXT MESSAGES

Text messages are a great way to generate activity and market your business. One effective strategy is the 3-way text message that you and your trainer can send out. It's a nonchalant way to get the ball rolling. Feel free to copy and paste.


1st message:

Hey (Persons Name) I need some help. I was just given an opportunity to get state licensed and I need a few hours of training to get certified. I am pretty excited about this! I've added (Trainer) to this text thread. They will be the one training me. I have about 2 weeks to complete my on-the-field training and it's all via Zoom! Can I count on you?


2nd message:

Great! I have some availability on ______ and ______ of this week. Which time would work best for you?

PRESENTATION & OVERVIEW

YOUR TIME TO SHINE!

On this step, your goal is to watch, listen, and learn.

  • You'll be taught how to properly introduce and EDIFY your trainer.
  • Trainer will go over FORM to build rapport and customize the conversation.
  • Your trainer will go over our overview to create DISTURB and intrigue.
  • Depending on the individual(s) situation, one or more goals will take priority, i.e. more income, retirement, stability, insurance.


There are 3 ways to market your business.

  • One-on-One - It's you, your trainer and prospect.
  • Business/Company Overview - You invite prospects to one of the weekly held events.
  • Business Launch - You and your trainer host a private event to launch your business with a select group of people.


The overall outcome is to leave with a positive impression, build credibility, create awareness for referrals and potentially adding a new agent or client.
